BOOK REPORT EXAMPLE - CARNAVAL

Read the story given by your teacher. Answer the questions with the help of the prompts:

1. Who are the main characteris in the story? Describe them:

One of them is Jake:

Jake is a young of eighteen years and lives with his family in the city of Manchester.

He wears a red shirt, blue jeans and a backpack behind him.

He has map, a pen £ 5.73 and a train ticket in his pockets.

Another characteris is Maria:

She is a tall girl, with dark skin, black eyes and thick lips.

She wears a yellow dress with red and feathers in her hair.

Maria works as a police agent.

2.  Who is your favorite character? why?

My favorite character is Jake, because he is a young dreamer, cheerful and persistent. 

I use all the tools to get close to María and get her attention.

3. Where and when does the story take place?

The story takes place in the city of London, on a hot afternoon during the Notting Hil Carnival.

Where a crowd of people gather to observe the floats, musical groups and the typical costumes of the city.

      4. What is the main problema/ situation? What is the end?

     That Jake stole a camera from a tourist to take a picture of Maria and the police captured it.

     That Maria was caught by her boss in the lie that she was at the carnival.

    End: That Jake ended up at the station police for theft without definng their judicial situation and Maria the woman in the photo, worked as a policie officer.

     5.  Do you like the story?

     I did not like the sroty, the lack of argument deviates fron the interest of the reader.

    Also, the story is unfinished, because you do not know what happened with Jake and María at the police station

       

    6. What is the moral?  

      I do not leave any moral because it does not conclude the story.
