ORACIONES INTERROGATIVAS - IS THERE Y ARE THERE

Al momento de realizar preguntas de la existencia de cierto lugar o cosa en general, optamos por invertir la palabra "there" y el auxiliar del verbo to be (is/are). Para contestar este tipo de preguntas se toma en cuenta la formulación de la pregunta. Ejemplos: 

Is there a beautiful park in this town? Hay un bonito parque en este pueblo?

          - Yes, there is.

Is there a movie theater at the downtown? Hay un cine en el centro?

         - No, there is not.

Are there any gas stations around here? Hay algunas gasolinerias por aqui?

         - Yes, there are.                                      

Are there any gyms on your neighborhood? Hay algunos gimnasios en tu vencindario?

         - No, there aren´t

Are there any lamp in the room?
Yes, there a lamp next to the chair.

Is there a desk in the room?
No, there isn¨t desk in the room.

Are there any cushions in the room?
Yes, there are five cushions on the armchair. 

Are there pictures in the room?
Yes, there is picture on the armchair.
